Kyle Robertson’s ‘Revolution’: the serial entrepreneur who is building a healthtech empire

Before he turned 30, Kyle Robertson had already reached stratospheric heights with his first company that few entrepreneurs ever approach.

After business school, Robertson moved to San Francisco to work on his idea of building a virtual all-in-one mental healthcare service that would break down the barriers to getting quality care. Robertson launched Cerebral in early 2020 with co-founder Dr. Ho Anh.. When the COVID-19 pandemic was declared just weeks later and lockdown measures were imposed across the nation, Americans suddenly found themselves cut off from the in-person therapy and treatment they relied on. Virtual healthcare instantly went from a convenience to an absolute necessity. The mental health crisis caused by the pandemic’s impact on everyday life quickly made Cerebral’s services a critical lifeline for .

In May 2022, after nearly three years at the helm of Cerebral, Robertson departed the company he had built from zero into a household name that transformed mental healthcare and treated millions of people.

Kyle Robertson began to look beyond mental health to a more vast constellation of personal health and wellness needs not being adequately treated by the traditional system. That idea turned into the telemedicine platform Zealthy, which Kyle Robertson founded in early 2023. Through the platform’s focus on direct-to-consumer care, users of Zealthy get convenient access to treatments for weight management, hair loss, sexual dysfunction, birth control, and other personal health needs. By combining the convenience of digital health with the safety of clinician-guided care, Zealthy is helping to expand access to quality care for even more people than Cerebral did.

Through his experience at Cerebral and Zealthy, Robertson acquired varied life, business, and business development skills. Revolution Venture Studios (RVS), the venture studio he owns and operates, Robertson is in an optimal position to implement his knowledge by mentoring fellow entrepreneurs and helping them grow their business ideas to unicorn status. Rather than a standard VC fund or accelerator, RVS acts more as a startup boot camp that mentors and launches its portfolio companies at the earliest possible phase by providing access to not just seed financing, but product development, market analysis, and operational mentorship.

RVS has invested in and counseled entrepreneurs in fields as varied as healthtech, personal health and wellness, and AI. Among some of the best-performing startups to emerge from RVS’s “venture machine” are Amara, a medspa roll-up business, ScribeAI, health transcription software with AI capabilities, and Bioverse, a direct-to-consumer service for longevity treatments. As Kyle Robertson helps other entrepreneurs build and develop businesses themselves, he is building a lasting framework for businesses to grow quickly yet sustainably.

By emphasizing mission-oriented innovation, Kyle Robertson has created a space where startups can grow rapidly by addressing real problems that everyday people face. In RVS, Robertson has assembled an incredible team of business leaders who desire to share knowledge with emerging entrepreneurs that will serve them throughout their careers. Robertson’s hope is that Revolution Venture Studios will do far more than churn out a steady stream of unicorn companies; his long-term ambition is for RVS to help give rise to a new generation of leaders who change the world and do good.
